ANNUAL COMMUNITY SUPPER AND
CHILI CHALLENGE

When: Wednesday, April 30, 6-8:30PM.
Where: The Ethical Society, 1906 Rittenhouse Square
Cost: $5 per person, no charge for children.

Center City Residents' Association invites you to gather with fellow CCRA members, family and friends at our annual community supper. In addition to our traditional potluck offerings, CCRA will be renewing its annual CCRA Chili Challenge. For our members with a taste for chili, we invite you bring a batch of your best chili recipe. Our members will sample the entrants' recipes and vote on their favorites. In addition, we are putting together a celebrity tasting panel that will help decide the eventual winner.

Entries will be judged by a celebrity panel, to include Erin O'Shea, executive chef of Marigold Kitchen (one of our Restaurant Partners) and noted exponent of Southern cuisine. Erin hails from Richmond, Virginia and trained with legendary Southern chef and restaurateur Jimmy Sneed at The Frog & The Red Neck, named one of the country's best restaurants by Esquire magazine. We believe Erin's background qualifies her as the perfect arbiter to decide who among our members can claim the title of 2008 CCRA Chili Challenge Champion!

To enter the Chili Challenge, please send your name and the name of your recipe to dewitt.brown@gmail.com.

Not everybody adores chili, and we still need other potluck dishes. If you're not making chili, please plan to bring (according to the initial of your last name, an appetizer (A-K), salad (L-N), side orders/toppings (O-S) or dessert (T-Z). Each contribution, chili or other, should serve 8. And if you'd rather chow down than cook, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities the night of the supper. Dozens are needed as hosts, servers, and setup/cleanup crews. If that's your choice, please e-mail DeWitt as above.

For reservations or further information, contact the CCRA office at 215-546-6719 or centercity@centercityresidents.org.
