POLICE LIAISON COMMITTEE
Mission
To gather and disseminate vital information from the police district on crime statistics in our boundaries with the immediate goal of providing information and improving safety and the quality of life within the CCRA boundaries.
In addition, this committee can help move your safety or crime issue through the proper channels within the police department. Note: The situation must first be reported first to the police by either the victim or witness.
Goals for 2010-2011
To reduce the amount of misleading and incorrect information that is disseminated; be timelier in the reporting to the police of incidents occurring in the neighborhood; and report back to the community any trends in crime and resolutions to existing crime trends.
How you can participate
We are looking for people (especially from high-rises) who can represent CCRA and their buildings at police meetings, and we are also looking for co-chairs and patrollers for the Town Watch group so that it can organize regular patrols to walk through the neighborhood on a nightly basis.
