Committee Goals and Activities:

The goal of the Parking Committee is to rationalize parking policies and to improve their enforcement and efficiency. The committee's activities include working with elected representatives, the Parking Authority and other residents associations to maximize use of available on-street parking space in Center City and to improve our resident and guest parking programs.

How to Contact This Committee:

For further information or to volunteer for the Parking Committee, contact the CCRA office by email at: centercity@centercityresidents.org

CCRA's Parking Committee needs you!

The Parking Committee is working on several initiatives to maximize available on-street parking in Center City. These include working with PPA to reposition No Parking signs that cut off parking further from corners than necessary and to permit 2-sided parking on more blocks of Pine and Spruce Streets.

We are also working with other neighborhood associations to institute a guest/contractor parking program and to improve the resident permit program in light of responses to the parking survey. Volunteer for the Parking Committee to make these and other ideas into reality!

The Parking Committee also sees an increasing problem of construction fences that eliminate parking spaces for months at a time - in many cases, long after construction is completed. L&I issues time-limited permits for the fences. We need residents to report the locations of fences that overstay their permits and a volunteer liaison to collect the reports and relay the information to L&I for enforcement.
