55th Annual Fall House Tour
Sunday, October 20, 2013
How many times have you wanted to visit the last single family residence on Rittenhouse Square, the fabled Mc Elhenny mansion, situated on the Square’s southwest corner and vacant for more than a decade? Now’s your chance to get inside to take a look before planned renovations commence. While you are at it, take a gander at fine residences in the Square’s newest upscale address, Ten Rittenhouse, on the northwest corner of 18th and Walnut. All this AND the home of Nora the piano playing cat who enjoys a world wide U tube fan base plus nine other residential stops including one on the showcase 2000 block of Delancey.
The self-guided tour begins at Trinity Center for Urban Life, 2212 Spruce Street in Fitler Square or Beth Zion Beth Israel (BZBI) at 18th & Spruce Streets.
Participants will receive a tour booklet with complete tour information, house descriptions and route map. In addition, ticket holders will receive day-of-tour 15% discount on food for dinner at designated area restaurants such as Friday Saturday and Sunday, Square 1682 at Hotel Palomar, El Rey Restaurant, Twenty Manning Grill, De Angelo’s Ristorante Italiano and the Prime Rib.
