Donate Unwanted Books, DVD, and CDs

Donate your unwanted books, DVDs, and CDs to the Free Library Philadelphia City Institute branch on Rittenhouse Square for their annual book sale. 

Please separate books into bags marked Fiction or Non-Fiction. Books the library will not accept for sale: textbooks, medical books, outdated topics in the sciences, finance, or computer technology, or books that have writing on pages, are discolored by age, or are tattered.

Dates and times that donations will be accepted at the branch:

• Fridays in February:  February 9, 16, and 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Saturdays in February:  February 17 and 24, from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.
• Fridays in March: March 2,  9, 16, 23 from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.
• Saturdays in March: March March 3 and 24 from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.
• Fridays in April: April 6, 13, and 27 from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.
• Saturday, April 7  from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.
