Library Closures and Funding Problems

The Friends of the Philadelphia City Institute Library invites you to a meeting at the Philadelphia City Institute Library on Rittenhouse Square to learn about reasons for library closures and funding problems. We know how much the library means in your lives and how upset you are when our library closes unexpectedly because of building and staffing emergencies. Q&A will cover: Why there are emergency closures? What happens when there is a staffing emergency? How can volunteers help? What are the Friends of the Free Library doing to help advocate for library funding? What are the city's unions doing to help advocate for library funding?
