A man was shot and killed inside Center City's well-known LOVE Park across from Philadelphia City Hall Tuesday night. And, the killer got away in a vehicle with some noticeable details.
The victim, who was not identified, was found shortly before 9 p.m. in the park, shot at least once in the head. Police officers rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later.
The man was well dressed and had a last-known address outside the city, Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.
After the shooting, the gunman hopped into a Jeep with some specific features.
"We're being told it has green wheels, green lights -- possibly coming from the front -- and green trim, or a green front bumper," Small said. "So, there's a lot of green to this vehicle."
A motive was not immediately known.
